The University of Toronto Varsity Blues baseball team is set for their first post-season appearance since 2006 thanks to a 9-2 University of Western Mustangs win over the visiting Brock Badgers at Labatt Park in London, Ont.

The Blues will now face those same Mustangs in a best-of-three semi-final series, starting tomorrow night in London. U of T last met Western in the 2006 OUA semifinals - the Mustangs took the series 2-0 and went on to win the OUA championship title that year.

The Blues finished the OUA regular season with a 9-9 record after a big 2-0 win Monday night over the Badgers. Toronto needed Brock to drop their final two games in order to make the playoffs. Western answered Toronto's prayers, defeating the Badgers 2-0 on Tuesday, Oct. 6, and 9-2 tonight.
