The Varsity Blues Nordic ski team had a very successful season with many impressive individual finishes.

Both the men’s and women’s teams narrowly missed fifth place at the OUA championships.

Aaron Barter led the Blues men’s team at the OUA championships with an eighth-place finish in the men’s 10km skate race and a ninth-place finish in the 15km classic. Barter was named a 2008-09 OUA all-star for his efforts.

Todd Inkila and Andrew Bradbury also recorded solid results in individual and relay competition for the men.

Erin Mallinger led the women’s team, finishing 14th in both the 5km skate race and 10km classic event at the OUA championships in Haliburton.

Mary Qiu, Tanya Hauck, Kate Sauks, Jane Rumball and Juslia Sisler all recorded top-30 performances for the women at this year’s conference meet.
