The Varsity Blues women’s rugby team finished the 2009 regular season in fourth place in the OUA Russell division.

The Blues finished the season tied with the York Lions with identical 1-4 records. However, Toronto defeated York in their head-to-head match up, on October 8, giving the Blues the tiebreaker and a spot in the OUA quarter-final against the McMaster Marauders.

Unfortunately for U of T, McMaster proved to be too strong as the Blue and White fell 43-5 to end their 2009 campaign.

Hannah Ehrhardt and Jenny So earned 2009 Russell division all-star award.
