Coming off a fantastic 2008 campaign, the Varsity Blues men’s tennis team wasn’t as successful in 2009. They finished the regular season with a 3-3 record and headed into the OUA playoffs in fourth place.

The Blues fell to the eventual OUA champion York Lions 5-2 in OUA semi-final action, but bounced back with a dominant 7-0 victory over the Western Mustangs in the consolation match to claim the bronze medal.

First-year standout Stefan Srnic was named an OUA all-star after stepping in and playing in the Blues number one singles and doubles matches for the majority of the season.
