BLUES GET PAST QUEEN’S, TO FACE MCGILL IN FINAL

Kate Crowley’s goal in the sixth minute would prove to be all the Varsity Blues women’s soccer team would need as they defeated the host Queen’s Gaels 2-0 on Day 1 of the 2010 Old Four tournament at Tindall Field.

With the win, the Blues advance to tomorrow’s final versus the McGill Martlets at 1p.m. McGill also recorded a 2-0 victory over the Western Mustangs in today’s first game.

First-year striker Aisha Lewis of Mississauga, Ont., added an insurance marker for U of T in the 68th minute of the contest. Starting goalkeeper Kat Vulic earned the shut out.
