Adrian Pond and Pooja Chugh are headed west for the Intact Insurance 2012 Canadian university/college squash championships this weekend (March 2-4) at the University of Calgary Racquet Centre.

The championships get underway on Friday at 5 p.m., with the finals scheduled for Sunday at noon. The championships website can be found here.

The 2012 OUA female rookie of the year, Chugh was the OUA individual silver medalist and led the Blues to a bronze-medal finish at the 2012 provincial championship. Chugh has been registered to play in the women’s open singles starting Friday in Calgary.

Pond, a 2009-10 OUA all-star, was U of T’s No. 1 player this season. The fifth-year math major and Toronto native will look to end his career on a high note as he enters the men’s open singles competition this weekend.
