BLUES BASKETBALL ADDS PRESCOTT TO 2012-13 ROSTER

The Varsity Blues men’s basketball program is pleased to announce that Alejandro Prescott has committed to play basketball and pursue an education at the University of Toronto in the fall of 2012.

A 6-foot-2 guard, Prescott comes to U of T from Merivale High School where he received the most valuable player award in 2009 and 2011 and the coaches award in 2010.

"We are very excited to have Alejandro join our team next year,” said Varsity Blues associate head coach Rick Dilena. “His intensity on and off the court is going to bring an element to our team that will help us immensely in the upcoming season.”

Prescott was selected to play in Ottawa’s National Capital Classic all-star game for three consecutive years. He will begin his studies in humanities in September.

Students who sign a letter of intent and commit to Varsity Blues intercollegiate teams will be eligible to play at the University of Toronto provided they are academically admissible and have applied through the normal process with the Ontario Universities Application Centre.
